Hélène Caron was born in Laval and currently resides in Blainville, Quebec. Animals and visual arts have been a part of the artist's life since childhood. As a little girl, she would spend hours drawing animals without tiring.
Her art is known for its vibrant colors, technique and subjects that leave no one indifferent. The contemporary realism of her work provides immense detail with remarkable accuracy. The balance between the animal, the texture and color palette of the work elicits excitement from viewers. Hélène's works always feeds curiosity, sensitivity and fun for those who interact with her animals as their profound glances speak to you, scrutinize you, question you.
Hélène Caron loves to marry contemporary and abstract figurative. The animals are painted in different colors and the bottom is usually left blank, leaving a space around the subject which gives harmony and a certain serenity to the work. Mostly made on wood, the artist uses acrylic with a multitude of tools such as knives and spatulas, and different textured gels and pastes to add depth and relief to each painting.
Since 2010, Hélène Caron devoted herself entirely to her art. She has participated in numerous solo and group exhibitions throughout Quebec and Ontario and has received several awards of distinction. She is represented for her horses by the art gallery of the fabulous Cavalia - Odysséo horse show, which has toured all over the world. Her works are part of many private and corporate collections throughout the world.
